This incredibly healthy and delicious juice highlights the sweet, slightly bitter flavor of goji berries, which are often identified as a superfood. You’ll find the taste positively addicting.
Cucumber provides small amounts of phytonutrients, such as beta-carotene, that are connected with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease as well as several types of cancers, including breast, uterine, ovarian and prostate cancers.
Ingredients
1 cucumber, quartered 1
2 lemons, peeled and halved 2
2 red apples, cored and sliced 2
1 1-inch (2.5 cm) piece peeled gingerroot 1
20 drops organic goji berry extract 20 drops
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 0.5 mL
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the cucumber, lemons and apples, plus the ginger.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining cucumber, lemon and apple.
3. Add goji berry extract and cayenne and whisk well. Serve immediately.
