This juice is a complex and glorious blend of flavors—at once nutty, sweet and minty—and well worth the effort to make. Carrots deliver antioxidants such as carotenoids and phytonutrients such as polyacetylenes, and pears have been shown to decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Mint not only soothes your stomach, it is being studied for its potential as an anticancer agent.
Ingredients
3 carrots 3
3 pears, quartered 3
10 sprigs fresh mint 10
2 tsp organic lucuma powder 10 mL
2 tbsp cold-pressed hempseed oil 30 mL
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the carrots, pears and mint.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining carrots, pear and mint.
3. Add lucuma powder and hempseed oil and whisk well. Serve immediately.
