This juice tastes like homemade apple pie – sweet, tangy and slightly warming. Apples can help reduce total cholesterol and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. Lemons contain vitamin C and are rich in bioflavonoids, phytonutrients that help to combat inflammation and may help slow the progression of heart disease.
Cinnamon has been shown to regulate blood sugar, reduce LDL cholesterol levels, fight against bacteria and other pathogens, and reduce pain linked to arthritis.
Ingredients
5 red apples, cored and sliced 5
1 lemon, peeled and halved 1
1 tbsp ground cinnamon 15 mL
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the apples and lemon.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining apples and lemon.
3. Add cinnamon and whisk well. Serve immediately.
