This juice has a savory yet bright flavor. It is designed to improve blood circulation and leave the skin with a luminous glow, thanks to purple cabbage, which is rich in phytochemicals. These nutrients increase antioxidant defense and improve the body’s ability to detoxify and remove harmful chemicals and hormones.

Ingredients

2 green apples, cored and sliced 2
1 cucumber, quartered 1
1 red bell pepper, quartered 1
1 lemon, peeled and halved 1
1 stalk celery, chopped 1
1/2 cup packed chopped purple cabbage 125 mL
15 sprigs fresh flat-leaf (Italian) parsley (about 1/2 bunch) 15
1 1/16-inch (2 mm) piece jalapeno pepper 1

Instructions

1. Using a juicer, process half each of the apples, cucumber, red pepper, lemon, celery, cabbage, parsley and jalapeno.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining fruits and vegetables.
3. Whisk well and serve immediately.
