The effervescent sweet-and-sour blend of carrots, lemon and oranges comes alive with a bit of ginger. This refreshing juice is simple to make, complex in flavor and a favorite before or after a hard day of work.
The abundant vitamin C and flavonoids in oranges provide overall energy, strengthen the immune system and support connective tissue in the body.
Ingredients
3 carrots, sliced, greens intact 3
1 lemon, peeled and halved 1
3 oranges, peeled and halved 3
1 1/4-inch (0.5 cm) piece peeled gingerroot 1
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the carrots, lemon and oranges, plus the ginger.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining carrot, lemon and orange.
3. Whisk well. Serve immediately.
