This sweet and zesty strawberry and pineapple juice blend will awaken your taste buds, thanks to a surprising zing of ginger. Ginger is known to soothe tummy issues such as nausea, motion sickness and gastrointestinal distress.
And the strawberries in this juice really boost its levels of vitamin C and potassium. Strawberries protect your heart, increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure and guard against cancer, as part of a healthy diet that is rich in plant foods.
Ingredients
1 pineapple, skin removed, cut into wedges 1
1/4 beet, halved 1/4
16 strawberries 16
1 1/4-inch (0.5 cm) piece peeled gingerroot 1
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the pineapple, beet, and strawberries, plus the ginger.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining pineapple, beet and strawberries.
3. Whisk well and serve immediately.
