Tangy pineapple is complemented by sweet pears and fresh greens in this cleansing and nutrient-dense juice. Pear juice is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients, such as vitamin C, and polyphenols such as catechins and epicatechins, similar to those found in green tea.
Ingredients
1/2 pineapple, skin removed, cut into wedges 1/2
1 stalk celery, chopped 1
1/2 cup packed chopped kale leaves 125 mL
1 cucumber, quartered 1
1/2 cup packed chopped romaine lettuce leaves 125 mL
2 pears, quartered 2
10 sprigs fresh flat-leaf (Italian) parsley 10
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the pineapple, celery, kale, cucumber, romaine, pears, and parsley.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining fruits and vegetables.
3. Whisk well and serve immediately.
