This earthy, sweet and comforting juice is loaded with superior antioxidants (curcuminoids in this case), thanks to turmeric. The polyphenols in turmeric protect your body against toxins by supporting the liver’s natural detoxification process.
They also prevent LDL (“bad”) cholesterol from oxidizing, its pivotal first step in damaging arteries, leading to plaque and blood clot formation. Turmeric lends a terrific flavor that is akin to orange and ginger.
Ingredients
1 1/4-inch (0.5 cm) piece turmeric root, peeled and sliced 1
6 red apples, cored and quartered 6
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process turmeric and apples. Whisk well and serve immediately.
