By now you are probably well aware that kale is a superfood, and you’ve likely even wondered how in the world you can get your child to eat it. This juice is the answer. Thanks to this perfectly sweet blend with pears and apples, our son, Eli, drinks kale like a pro.
And he’s got so used to the idea that now he eats it too, both fresh and cooked, in his favorite meals. Loaded with vitamins K and C, manganese and copper, kale provides increased cancer protection and support for the body’s detoxification system.
Ingredients
2 apples, cored and quartered 2
1 cup packed chopped kale leaves 250 mL
2 pears, quartered 2
Instructions
1. Using a juicer, process half each of the apples, kale and pears.
2. Following the same order, repeat with the remaining apple, kale and pear.
3. Whisk well and serve immediately.
