The Magic (and Science) of a Juice a Day

Ok … so you’ve heard about juice fasting. Or juice feasting. Or a juice diet. Or a juice reboot. This is where you consume nothing but juice for a period of days, weeks or even months.

And it helps. I should know … I wrote the Complete Idiot’s Guide on the subject. And I’ve survived month-long cleanses.

A juice fast done right can help you lose weight, sometimes A LOT of weight.

It helps clean out your body systems. And it can even retrain your palate for healthier foods.

And I (and the JG Advisory Board) recommend you cleanse with juice four times a year with the changing seasons (with a Certified Juice Therapist to guide you).

But not everyone can do a juice fast. Kids can’t. The elderly shouldn’t. And even a busy, healthy person might struggle through one.

And even if you DO successfully complete a cleanse, what happens when it’s over? You may be surprised to hear this, but according to a recent survey, nearly 100% of people who lose weight on a cleanse gain it back (and then some) … within a few weeks.

A juice fast can become just like any other diet. Spiraling you onto the yo-yo diet, lose-gain-lose rollercoaster. That is if you don’t have something to keep you in check in between.
