How to Be a Fit Vegan

Who: John Pierre (JP)-  Renowned nutrition and fitness expert John Pierre is sometimes referred to as a “Trainer to the Stars” because he trains Hollywood celebrities, rock stars, and Fortune 500 executives. His first book, The Pillars of Health, discusses the four solid principles that provide everyone with a strong foundation for lasting, lifelong wellbeing. John shows that attaining vibrant health can be fun, enjoyable, and doable.  John’s highly anticipated second book Strong, Savvy, Save was recently released.

What We Talked About: We may not realize how sedentary we are, since our culture incorporates sitting into most of our daily activities. From the time we are in school to working our daily jobs, we are constantly sitting down. John shows us how to sneak movement into our everyday routine and provides useful tips to get our bodies into great shape quickly.

Why I Like JP:  JP integrates fitness using a holistic model and incorporates diet, juicing, cognitive/ brain function, and healthful living/ aging into his teachings. He is articulate and breaks it down to terms we can all understand. What I love most is his unwavering compassion and commitment to helping others.

Great Line: The more fruits and vegetables you get in a day, the better… and if you could incorporate a fresh juice a day, preferably green juice as compared to fruit juice… and stay away from poisons and toxins.
